Our tours are designed to be an educational experience. The tours vary with age groups. Our fun and educational tours allow children to learn about our orchard, how the bees pollinate our fruit trees and how the fruit grows. The children will be able to go into the orchard (with Larry or another, distant relative of JOHNNY APPLESEED) and pick their own apples, if weather permits. Tour groups will be able to walk through the orchard, pick fruit, return to the apple barn, and watch how apples are sorted and cleaned. Children and teachers will divide into smaller groups and go through the country store to see other varieties of apples, peaches and pears in season. Children will be given samples of fruit to taste before the tour is over. We have several picnic tables available; or you can bring blankets to spread out on the ground. If your group has extra time after the tour is over you may enjoy a walk along the nature trail.
